Core Packages

Hands-on, tailored support for key SEND Processes

1. EHC Needs Assessment (EHCNA) Request – £400

Secure the strongest possible start to your EHCP journey.

Problem: Too many requests get dismissed because they’re vague or not tied to the legal test, this can delay support for months.
Solution: I draft your request letter so it’s evidence-led, law-grounded, and neuroaffirmative from the start.
Outcome: 10–15 page bespoke letter that frames your child’s needs with accuracy and dignity, giving you the strongest chance of securing an assessment first time.

2. Section 19 Duty Letter (Alternative Provision) – £200

Stop your child being left without education.

Problem: Too many children unable to attend school (due to anxiety, burnout, unmet needs) are left without access to suitable, accessible provision.
Solution: I prepare a law-backed Section 19 letter making the local authority’s duties crystal clear.
Outcome: Pressure on the local authority to act quickly and provide suitable alternative provision.

Bundle: EHCNA Request + Section 19 Letter → £500 (save £100)

3. EHCP Review and Redraft – £750

A full, tribunal-ready review of your child’s EHCP, completed in SEND Tribunal Working Document format, regardless of whether you are at draft stage, mediation, or considering appeal.

What this includes:

  • A full redraft of Sections B, E and F, using:

  • strike-through for deletions

  • bold text for proposed additions

  • Evidence-linked footnotes justifying each amendment, grounded in:

    • professional reports

    • statutory guidance

    • case law and tribunal practice where relevant

  • Language that is:

    • legally enforceable

    • quantified and specific

    • neuroaffirming and child-centred

This format:

  • makes it significantly easier for LAs to agree amendments,

  • avoids duplication if matters progress to mediation or appeal,

  • and ensures that, where agreement isn’t reached, you already have a robust first iteration of the appeal working document.

Importantly, this approach frequently enables disputes to be resolved without the need for a full Tribunal hearing.

By presenting proposed amendments in a format local authorities and Tribunal panels are already accustomed to working with, it becomes much easier for LAs to agree lawful changes at draft stage or through mediation. Where agreement is possible, this can significantly reduce the time, stress and cost associated with prolonged appeals - including the emotional toll on families and the months of waiting that often accompany Tribunal proceedings.

Section I (placement) disputes:

Where a family’s primary concern relates to the placement named in Section I - for example where a local authority is proposing or has named a mainstream setting, and the family is seeking a specialist placement or Education Otherwise Than at School (EOTAS) - this is fully taken into account within the review.

While Section I itself is not re-drafted, the Working Document approach ensures that Sections B (needs), E (outcomes) and F (provision) are strengthened and aligned in a way that clearly evidences:

  • why the named setting cannot meet the child’s needs, and

  • what type of educational provision is required in practice.

This is the legally recognised route by which Section I is challenged and determined, both in mediation and by the SEND Tribunal, and the review is intentionally structured to support that process.

Included in the fee:

Review of the EHCP

  1. Review of up to 5 professional reports

  2. One full working document version

  3. One round of minor parent-requested amendments, limited to:

    • clarification

    • small additions

    • wording tweaks
(not new evidential strands or restructuring)

LA Response Review – £150 per iteration

Includes:

  • Reviewing the LA’s response to the working document

  • Assessing agreed vs disputed amendments

  • Annotated comments and/or revised WD where necessary

  • Strategic advice on next steps (agree / push / mediate / appeal)

4. Local Authority Complaints – £350

Challenge unlawful decisions and build your evidence trail.

  • Stage 1 Complaint £350 → Sharp, law-grounded complaint letter that can’t be brushed aside.

  • Stage 2 Escalation £150 → Optional detailed rebuttal to strengthen the record.

Outcome → A clear evidence trail that strengthens your case for Local Government and Social Care Ombudsman (LGSCO) if needed.

5. EOTAS Application Package – £750
